June is the month of collaboration

Finally, after covid regulations are loosened a little bit and more and more people are vaccinated, we can continue with our interlab experiments! For this purpose, Akshay has come to Innsbruck to stay. For a month, he and Julia will work together in the lab, taking a closer look at the synthrophy of anaerobic fungi and methanogens.

Finally some sun after months of rainy days! Of course, we had to take the opportunity to go for a short walk after lunch, enjoying the warm weather on the teaching grounds of the Zoology department. Quick-minded Heri swiftly repurposed the umbrella, adapting to the recent weather change. Side note: all of us are vaccinated or tested, and indoors masks are still worn at all times. Safety first!
