Nothing but blue skies & good company

This Thursday in Innsbruck we had not only had the pleasure of enjoying this year's first snow together with brilliantly blue & sunny skies, but also to welcome our Swiss colleagues to our beautiful mountain-enclosed city.

It took a couple of tries and the help of a nice lady to finally get a picture of all of us, but the result perfectly summarizes our day: smiling faces & beautiful winter weather. P.S.: For Akshay (India), as well as Wantanasak (Thailand) this week was their first time seeing snow! *brrr*

Akshay, the newest addition to our team, and Rolf came all the way from Wädenswill, Switzerland (by train, of course!) to sort out the bureaucracy necessary for Akshay to enroll as a PhD student at the University of Innsbruck.

After a get-to-know-each-other coffee and some productive brainstorming on possible future experimental designs for current research problems, the obligatory tour through our premises was followed by a relaxed lunch @Froschkönig.

Early in the afternoon, unfortunately, it was already time to say goodbye again, but we - as always - are looking forward to our next meetings (be it via the internet or in person)!
