Fabienne Gobs

I started working for the FUNGAS project in November 2025. My work mainly consists of maintaining the fungal stem culture, alonside with the preparation of antibiotic and vitamin solutions therefore. Furthermore, I carry out RNA and DNA extractions and subsequent qPCR analyses. My work involves optimizing antibiotic treatment combinations and frequencies, as well as comparing different inoculation methods. The aim is to reduce the number of bacteria and methanogens in the fungal culture. Sadly, at the end of June 2026, I will leave the project to continue my academic career by finishing my Master's thesis at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.
