FUNGAS at the KTBL Congress 2025 – “Biogas in der Landwirtschaft – Stand und Perspektiven”
On September 8–9, 2025, the FUNGAS team took part in the KTBL Congress “Biogas in der Landwirtschaft – Stand und Perspektiven”, hosted by the University of Hohenheim. The annual event serves as a key meeting point for scientists, engineers, and practitioners working on the future of biogas in agricultural systems.
During the congress, our team presented the FUNGAS project, focusing on how anaerobic fungi can be harnessed to increase biogas yields from agricultural residues. The approach aims to make small-scale biogas systems more efficient and sustainable while reducing the environmental footprint of manure and waste management.
Beyond the presentations, the congress offered an excellent opportunity to exchange insights with leading experts, explore upcoming trends in renewable energy, and strengthen collaborations within the biogas research community.
